To Build a Successful Small Business You Need to Sell. There is No Other Way

Before you begin get the basics right:
- You must be committed to excellence in everything you do in your business
- You must understand the value of the customer. Love customers without them you don’t have a business. Train your employees to understand the value of customers
- You must be fanatical about service and quality. The most successful businesses in the world offer great service and quality. As a small business this is often the only thing that will differentiate you from your competitors
- You must understand the importance of developing relationships. Business is about build relationships. We like doing business with people we like, even if it means we pay more
- You must identify reasons why people should buy from you. Knowing what differentiates you from your competitors make the sale easier. Develop a list of at least 20 things that differentiate you from your competitors
- You must develop credibility. People do business with people they trust. Ensure that you work on developing trust in your products and services
- You should identify a market niche’ you can dominate. Try and identify a market that you can specialize in where you can supply better service than anybody else in the industry
